Here are a few "musts" to consider before you make that decision-- <br /> <br />1. Discover what your goals and values are and ask your partner to do the same. Is there a strong core that will hold the two of you together? Do you want similar things from life? <br />We instinctively often choose someone who is very different from us so that we have the opportunity to learn and grow. For a successful marriage, it's still important to discover if your core values are similar. <br /> <br />2. We've heard the phrase "Women marry men hoping they'll change; men marry women hoping they will." Don't fall into those traps. <br /> <br />3. Pay attention to how you are feeling with this person right now. Is this how you want to live your life? Do you like the way you feel when you are with this person? Otto and his 15 year old son took some time the other day to say what they appreciated about each other. It was a special time for them and they felt closer to each other.
